Turn need into have

Have you ever had one of those days where you are sitting around going “I need this and I need that”? I certainly have. I have to quickly remember that if all I do is think about what I need, all I am attracting is further need. So whenever I have that experience, I quickly grab a piece of paper and start writing out all the things I desire in affirmative statements of ownership. For instance, I might write I have energy, and I have motivation, and so forth until I fill up a sheet of paper with everything that I currently desire.

By the time I finish writing the list I no longer feel needy. Instead I fell good, prosperous. I believe this is because I’m now attracting HAVE versus need. It feels good to HAVE all your needs met. Writing down on paper all the things you desire in an affirmative statement of ownership you exchange your desire of need to a feeling of accomplishment, because you now are claiming you have what it is you desire. The idea is to eliminate the concept of ‘need’ from your thought process.

We all realize that by simply writing down all your desires in an affirmative statement of ownership does not mean when you walk outside the car you desire will be in the driveway. However, instead of walking outside and viewing an empty driveway, you might now walk outside and picture that car sitting in driveway. Get rid of the need and turn need into have then you can begin to attract what you want into actual ownership. If you can imagine the make, model, and color of the car you want. Visualize how good that car would look in your driveway. Keep your thought process in the affirmative and imagine that you own the car of your desires. While writing down what we want does not magically make the desire appear, it does begin to change how we feel and our thought process allowing us to know we can own the car of our desires. It is possible to feel a sense of ownership to our desires. By writing them down and declaring them as our desires by affirming ownership of those desires we have a taken a step toward realizing our potential for actual ownership.

Positive thinking is essential to having all you desire. Writing out your desires is a step in the right direction to making your desires come true. Start with the declaration, move toward visualization and watch how quickly the universe supplies you with your true desire.

The following exercise makes me feel better when my thoughts get misguided toward need instead of have. It’s a very simple exercise that takes less than five minutes to complete. Here it is:

Just sit down and start writing out what it is that you want. Instead of saying I need this, say I have _____ and keep going until you HAVE everything you want listed on your sheet of paper.

Example: I have energy to clean the house.
I have the motivation to go wash the car.
I have $1200.00 for the house payment.
I have all my needs met.
I have a new 24 inch Panasonic television.
I have the desire to finish my next book.

When you are doing this exercise remember that you want to think of it as something you already have. Visualize each item you write down. If you write: I have an all new Mazda6 Sport Sedan in radiating Yellow, you are declaring a very specific desire. By being so clear you can actually start picturing that desire in your driveway each day. Your thought process will no longer be I want that, now it will be “damn I look good in this car.” Remember focus on HAVE not need. Be clear in your desire so when you write down your affirmation of ownership you can actually begin toward the next step of visualizing that desire.

For some people making very clear and precise declarations of desire are not always so easy. If you are one of those individuals don’t give up. You can try using the famous baby step program. Start with a broad list: I have money, I have energy. After which close your eyes and imagine yourself having money and energy. You can attain the same high that someone who clearly knows they want an all new Mazda6 Sport Sedan does. Your desires over time will begin to become more clear and precise. Don’t give up accept entry into the baby step program and realize you too can feel a great sense of ownership.
