Spiritual Advisors

Over the last six months during the political race we are watching spiritual advisors come under attack. I have to say that some of the things I've heard these individuals say frankly turn my stomach. I'm personally insulted that a spiritual advisor would say anything or act in away that stands in judgment.

We've all heard the saying "don't throw the baby out with the bath water." Please let's not throw spiritual advisors out because of a few opinionated individuals who have muddied the waters.

Spiritual advisors can add value to our lives. They can provide solace. They can provide understanding. They can provide guidance. Each spiritual advisor has their own unique life experiences and religious references to pull from in aiding us to peace of mind, to the truth.

Pick your spiritual advisor carefully. Choose an individual you find credible, honest, believable, respectful and whom you share a vision. A spiritual advisor does not need to be a minister, but should be one who is held in the same high regard. Most likely, the spiritual advisor you choose will be one of whom you have known for years are lead to by prayer.

Blessed Be
